2 more adults die of influenza in Douglas County
Influenza adult death count now up to 3
Two additional adults have died from influenza, bringing the total to four deaths in Douglas County.
High levels of influenza activity continued last week, and eight outbreaks have been reported in long-term care facilities.
A total of 315 laboratory-confirmed influenza cases were reported last week compared to 402 reported the week prior.
The percentage of outpatient visits with influenza-like illness, emergency department visits and hospital admissions also remains high.
Officials said the percent of children absent from school increased last week.
Thirty-three positive respiratory syncytial virus tests were reported of 163 tested last week.
